WaterWell Trust offers well assistance
In 2017, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) awarded a $200,000 matching grant to the Water Well Trust (WWT) for a project to increase potable water availability to households in nine rural New Mexico counties, including Catron, Chaves, Dona Ana, Grant, Hidalgo, Luna, Otero, Sierra, and Socorro counties. The WWT has now expanded eligibility to another county: Curry. Learn more!

An anonymous donor has funded the purchase of a Reverse Emergency Notification system for Grant County.  Register your phones, cell phones and email addresses to receive alerts of evacuations, emergency events, road closures and other significant events.   • 26 January 9:00 AM - Special Meeting – January 26, 2018.    The Grant County Board of Commissioners will convene in a Special Meeting on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. The meeting will take place in the Commission Meeting Room at the Grant County Administration Center located at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, NM 88061. The agenda for this meeting may be altered up to seventy-two (72) hours prior to the meeting; copies can be obtained from the County Manager’s Office or viewed online at If you are an individual with a disability in need of a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter or any other form of auxiliary aide or service to attend or participate in the meeting or hearing, please contact the Grant County Manager at 1400 Highway 180 East, Silver City, New Mexico at least one (1) week prior to the meeting or as soon as possible.
  • 26 January 12:00 PM - Quorum Notice – Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC) - Board of Trustees Meeting.    A quorum of the Grant County Board of Commissioners may attend the GRMC Board of Trustees Meeting on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. The Meeting will be held at the Gila Regional Medical Center Board Room, located at 1313 E. 32nd Street, Silver City, NM 88061.
